The Center for Asian American Media (CAAM) is a non-profit organization dedicated to presenting stories that convey the richness and diversity of Asian American experiences to the broadest audience possible. The festival will showcase film, as well as other avenues of artistic expression and community engagement, such as music, food, and interactive workshops.

Some movies to be showed include:

Mekong Hotel: A enigmatic portrait of a hotel, a region, and a countryside. Mekong Hotel is a half documentary, half fiction, all magical look at the "Meking Hotel" along the Thailand/Laos border by Cannes-winning director Thai Apichatpong Weerasethakul.

Beijing Flickers: China's prosperity may have enriched some people, but not others, and certainly not San Bao and his friends. In the latest film by controversial filmmaker Zhang Yuan, the displaced youth of Beijing may be down and out, but they find solace in a makeshift family-- one another.

Astro Boy: The Movie (Spotlight): Astro Boy is a young robot with incredible powers, created by a genius scientist who dreams of replacing his dead son. In a Metropolis-like futuristic city, our young hero embarks on a journey to find his place in the world, ultimately mastering his powers to protect those he loves from alien intruders.
